Hey Hey Hey It's Anne Ryan Appreciation Day!

Okay, maybe it's not officially Anne Ryan Appreciation Day. Maybe I just like her collages.

Anne Ryan, Collage No. 534, 1953, from the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden collection, Washington, D.C.

Anne Ryan was an American collagist, painter, and printmaker. She was born in Hoboken, NJ in 1889. She began to paint at the age of 49 and received her first formal training at Atelier XVII, the studio founded by Stanley William Hayter. Her work reflected the contemporary art scene of the 1940s. She died of a stroke in Morristown, NJ in 1954.

And maybe this Radiohead video has nothing to do with Anne Ryan or collages. Maybe I just like the song.
